______________________

·      at this earthy mask-array party, black v. white becomes a continuum of fore-play, core-play, and after-play as the halloween party rages on.

the objective, after all, is mate.

in the happy/sad ending below:
·       ghastly pawns show their strength, and
·       a white knight finds himself in a corner, but had a key role in the mate, and
·       a nonbinary-pawn appears to have queened himself on h-8… identifying as a rookie castle who mates the enemy’s king pumpkin, and
·     both kings find themselves back on their original squares after venturing into battle.

white had the option of ‘queening’ the pawn on h8, but (due to a former divorce) chose not to create another queen.

of note: the author of this thoem (1) is hallow, (2) is a ween, and could be (3) caught-up in between.
