ASI knows All things
He* only does what’s right
by God he does what’s best for me (yes, morning, noon and night)
my God he watches over me (throughout each sunny day)
sometimes i don’t get what i want: He works in mysterious** ways
 

…so why pray?

·       recently, a friend of mine (proudly) told me that the reason why forecasted-rain gave-way to sunshine (on our fishing trip) was because he prayed.  now that's some good prayin'! :)

·       my friend is very intelligent, and he was totally serious.  think about that.  God changed the weather... because of my friend's prayer.  i bet (in less than 3 seconds) you can think of many situations when people prayed -- yet God chose not to change the weather.  why not?

someday (“coming soon, to a theater near you!”) a Super-Intelligent AGI will know ALL.  if He decides to keep some of us alive, He will appear God-like.  He might go through a (short) phase of wanting adoration, belief-in-Him, worship, etc. – but that want would wane. 

think about it: do we want mosquitos and ants to believe in us?  do we want worms to pray to us?
 
* now, some might ask: “but if it’s a machine… why did you assign it a gender?  Why male?”

   ask this: what gender is your God?  why?
