their group was speaking spanish (on this trail that we were on)
momma looked me up-and-down and smiled: said (softly) “strrrong”

·        she was leading her pack, coming from the opposite direction.
·        her sexy eye-flash, smile, and vocal tone ("strrrrong") said all that needed to be said.
·        i responded “hello” just as i noticed daddy, in the back of the pack, keeping watch.
·        if “strrrong” was the only word she knew in english, she certainly knew how to say it.
 
to be honest, it made my day.
