* affairs are healthy

before bashing... just read a couple of lines (this is only a theory):

affairs (in married relationships) are healthy

his-story:

• marriage is difficult, as is cohabitation.
• marriage-sex (once you add kids, jobs, in-laws, religions, etc.) is (as a rule) not as hot as pre-marriage or honeymoon sex.
• married people do have affairs.
• the people aren't the problem.  conventional u.s.a. marriage (the construct) is the problem.
• making a lifelong promise (based upon emotion & subconscious sexual vibes) is a very, very bad idea.

but how could affairs be 'healthy'?  affairs (within a marriage) can be healthy if:

• partners use the "don't ask, don't tell" system.  there is no need to share information about who, what, when, where, how or how much. 
• limit the trysts to 1 per week (max).
• only have an affair if your sexual needs are not being met in the marriage, and if your partner is unable or unwilling to facilitate meeting those needs.

here's what will happen:

• each of you will explore what your sexual needs actually are.
• both of you will (most likely) stay in better shape.
• both of you will (most likely) treat each other better.
• it won't be a catastrophe, if there is lipstick-on-the-collar.
• you won't necessarily have to endure the process of divorce.

·       just a moment ago, i (admittedly) enjoyed crushing the life out of a fruit-fly that was flying too close to my creme brulee' coffee.
 
·       truth is, the fly was just being itself (fly-ing)… until i perceived it to be pesty.
 
·       in the past, i’ve taken the lives of many, many, many other fruit flies -- by setting out the ol’ “apple cider vinegar traps” (in the kitchen).
 
·       to the local fruit-fly population, i am a Superintelligence (and an evil one, at that!).  i (the creator) provide the material for their birth, but then i kill them on the spot, when they don't serve me.
 
what will happen (to humans, being) when an Artificial Superintelligence perceives us as ‘pesty’?

* big-fish-small-pond theory

while it is beneficial to be a big-fish-in-a-small-pond, one might not want to be the biggest fish. 

strive to be in 80-90th percentile fish: confident, able, still big (just not the biggest).

why?

the #1 fish always has a few other Alphas... just waiting to become the biggest.  if you can be a friend of the biggest fish while not getting involved in the politics of territorial control, you can enjoy plenty of leftovers.

it is important to note that those 'leftovers' might actually taste better (and treat you better) than the biggest fish gets treated!

1. he is the Alpha-Alpha (with all of the responsibilities that come with that).  repeating/remaining as the #1 is difficult.

2. Alpha-Alpha has to continually watch his back-fins... which takes additional time & energy (creating dis-stress).  he also has to try to keep his harem 'happy' (a daunting task, indeed): try keeping one of them happy. :(

3. his harem (the best-looking female fishes) have waaaaaay too many options, while also swimming angry -- since the Alpha-Alpha can be (ahem) 'distant' at times.  

4. it can get lonely, at the highest levels of the food-chain.  there are far-fewer peers to chum-around with.

however...

the second tier (75th-85th percentile of female fishes) won't be swimming with Alpha-Alpha, which will give you more access, more opportunities, more options and more smiles.  

you will still be an Alpha, just not the top 5%...
...and that, my fishy friends, might be the best mating position in the whole pond.

today began as another morning with no alarm clock, no pain, no sickness, no kids, no debt, no break-up proceedings, and none of the stuff that the average 65+ year-old guy tends to experience as his mind wanders -- thinking of how things could be even better. 

i actually googled "where can a 50+ year-old man go to get propositioned by a woman on the beach?"

throughout my adult life, i've 'dated' multiple women (simultaneously) and, when one of them 'clicked' with me, i entered a monogamous relationship -- shutting down the top-10 poll.

when my ego isn't in a one-on-one relationship, it seems to desire one.  when it is in a relationship, it (eventually) doesn't want one.

i remember times, in the past, being propositioned (jogging, walking the beach, on the job, etc.) by women.  it felt gooooood!   

it doesn't happen much, anymore, but when it does, i will be ready to make her day... and maybe even her week, or months, etc.

in the meantime, i am grateful for the autonomy, the contemplation time, the freedom, the coffee, the hummingbirds, the fountains, the weather, and (most of all) the possibilities.

by its nature, a bomb kills indiscriminately.  it's not mano-y-mano.  it's not face-to-face.  it's not even a well-placed sniper bullet at a known enemy.

My One Party (non-Party) 11-point plan:
because why are they partying with our hard-earned tax $$$, anyway?
 
Disclaimer: the chance of you agreeing to all of my 11-point Plan are nil.
Focus on what you like, and simply ignore the rest.
 

1.     No more junk mail: not in your mailbox, not via email, and not on your phone.  That's right: no telemarketers during dinner, no spammers in text. In fact, you’ll be able to easily sue (and easily win $$$) from anyone who sends you anything unsolicited.

2.     No noise pollution: noise ordinances will be enforced.  Excessively loud cars, incessantly barking dogs, etc. will cease, and give way to peace & quiet (especially during Siesta).

3.     An age limit and IQ limit on those running for public office.  The age will be however old I am… upon election, so that I won’t be able to run for a second term.

4.     No stupid signs! Yes, those obnoxious, little political signs (and other advertisements) that are stuck in the ground, sometimes with the same ad, 20-times in a row. Those who advertise that way will pay huge fines to help us clean-up our neighborhoods of litter and advertisement-pollution.

5.     No more lobbying: All “bills” will be free of “riders.” Every bill will be 1-page maximum, and a line-item spreadsheet will show who voted for what (e.g. bridges to nowhere).  Lobbyists will need to find real careers.

6.     No more “voting yourself a raise.”  Citizens (via phone numbers and cellphones), will vote on whether congressmen & senators get raises.  In fact, lawmakers will not even be eligible for a raise unless they do their job (e.g. balance the budget!).   If hard-working citizens (like us) are penalized for not balancing our checkbooks and credit accounts, then congressmen & senators need to do it, too!  Note: this decree will be retroactive, and pensions will be taken away from any congressman or senator who failed to do his/her job at least 50% of the time while in office.  If you didn’t balance the budget, no more free health care for you.  No more pension.  No more free rides.

7.     No more free rides: This means that, in order to receive government support, any individual needs to do something (even if it is cleaning-up litter in the community).  No free money for doing nothing.   Sorry, but this also includes unemployment payments.  If you want $$$, you’ve got to do something for it.  Note: this does not include Social Security, which you have already earned... by working (and paying into the system).

8.     No more gossip-news: If a newsmaker doesn’t know someone personally, and if that person is not in the same room as them (face-to-face, mano-y-mano), then the newsmaker cannot say anything negative about that person.  Stop talking behind the backs of people who you don’t even know!  Yes, this means that all of the gossip mags and most fake-news… will cease.

9.     No fake news: You will get sued immediately and harshly for lying to USA citizens via news channels and outlets.  If you can’t prove it, you can’t ‘report’ it.  We want the truth, so newsmakers must stop the BS-blabbering.

10. 10% flat tax. Everybody pays 10% of their earnings.  NO exemptions.  No more "writing-off" mega-yatchs as "business expenses."  Yes, this would spell the end of that thing we call the IRS.  

    One, simple form.  1/4 of a page.  

Note: In the future, there may be provisions for (up-to) 5 exemptions that must adhere to the following rules:

   a. the exemptions must benefit the individual and the community (including the planet).  example: the installation/use of solar energy. 

   b. same rule as all "bills": limited to 1-page, 1-inch margins (minimum), size 12 font, etc.

11.   No more “tail, wagging the dog.”  This means that, if you happen to “identify” as a “victim” (or a victimized group), you are going to have to prove it.  You can’t just ‘say’ something or ‘feel’ something and expect the rest of the Universe to stop in Its tracks for you.  Suck-it-up, buttercup!

if a loud, incessantly-barking dog is let-out into the yard at 6:32 am, or if the incessantly-barking mutt is left outside after dark, the noise is a disturbance of the peace.  this is especially true if homes (or townhomes, condominiums, apartments) are in close proximity.   duh.

neighbors (of course) hate the barking, but most don't actually hate the dog.  we do, however, hate the owner who refuses to train the dog.

·        the hu-man ego is a projection: a perspective of separation from the Whole (the One, the IS, God, G∞d, etc.).
 
·        of Course, without said illusion of separation: absent perspective, absent relativity, absent any sense of different-i-all-ity, Oneness could never get to Know He/r-Self!
