·       a hummingbird’s world revolves around nutrition… and mating.
 
·       she fights for each… via territory… a (seemingly) never-ending battle for resources.
 
·       is she human?  do we (hu-mans) have bird-brains?
 
the dance/fight (for territory) allows a species to exercise, practice maneuvering skills, and to practice saying “no!”
 
·       the act of saying “no!” might well play-into the decision to say “yes!”
