b118 (1.21-2.2024): trophy husband

i am her trophy-husband, i was mounted on her wall
i took the sex-bait blindly
my friends just watched me fall
 
and now i can do nothing as she’s fishing once again
and now i’m in the basement with her stack of “way-back-when”

·       while most can relate to the concept of a trophy-wife, at least she gets taken-out and wined-&-dined.

 
·       the trophy-husband, however, mounted (once or twice) -- then forever celibatized – gets to fail at attempting to keep her from being unhappy – even as she dons her fishing-gear (again and again) in pursuit of bigger Game.
 
how do i (never having been married) know this?  i’ve been the bigger Game.  i’ve observed the "if momma no happy, ain't nooooo-body happy" process.  

i’ve taken the bait (and i’ve been hooked).  luckily… i've never been caught.  i’ve learned how to nibble, now, without getting hooked.  

the safest path (for most fish) might just be to avoid the bait altogether.  most young fish need to learn the difference between food... and bait.  a master-baiting course could be the young fish's best option. 

my advice?  do.not.get.hooked.
