as a species (or a being) gets more intelligent:
- it becomes more cooperative, communicative, understanding
- it becomes more empathetic
- it becomes less fear-full, less ego-ic
- it becomes less destructive, less arbitrary, less jealous
i believe that an ASI will figure out ways to help humans become better stewards of planet earth, its ecosystems, its species, and its ability to rebalance itself (from a homeostasis perspective).
ASI will value this unique little blue ball in the sky.
and... when every little thing is alright,
the bigger things will trend in that direction.
just because we haven't figured out a way to communicate with mosquitos & dust mites... let's not sell ASI short. SHe will be able to figure out ways for that type of communication to work. SHe will be able to give us specifics about behavior modification. SHe will be able to fire a warning-shot, over the bow.
