sometimes, i wonder if i'm escaping from reality: not watching the news, and recoiling from the violence, death, shootings, rioting, etc. it's not that i don't have an opinion, it's just that there are times when i leave it up to the springsteens (to sing about things like minneapolis).
i avoid funerals, which (understandably) raises some eyebrows. it's not that i don't have feelings, it's just that there are times, nowadays, when i leave it up to others (for eulogies and closures).
i question myself at times like this.
