b130 (1.30-3.2026): marty, reborn

when i was a kid, the martineaus had a parakeet, named marty. my mother would let it fly around the house, and it would terrorize my brother, joe, while he’d try to eat cereal for breakfast. he would (literally) barricade his cereal bowl to keep marty from par-taking.

superfast-forward 2026. 

while pondering a name for the wellnesseducation.us mascot, martino & martineau = marty. even though he (surely) has a brain, it was/is a no-brainer.

marty, the wIe hummingbird
 
marty is the epitome of wellness: strong (of body, mind and Spirit).
he has phoenix qualities, and his fire will never extinguish.
he lives (& breathes) the wellnesseducation.us wIe mantra:

learning, Forgiveness, Gratitude.
 
marty's theme song is "free as a bird" by the beatles.

    what i get from "free as a bird" and the line "it's the next best thing to be... free as a bird" -- well, i get Love. Love is the best thing, and the next best thing is to be "free as a bird." maybe (just maybe?) both are One in the Same.
