· as of this writing, florida state university fans are ecstatic at 9-3, whereas ohio state fans are miserable, at 10-1.
· don’t get me wrong, fsu fans would have run the coach out of town at 9-3, in the 1990s.
when expectations are high, they (s/he) can get (“justifiably”) mad at you for not meeting his/her/their exceedingly high expectations.
when expectations are low, they are happy to know, that y/our effort flows.

* usa (today) marriages set the floor, the minimum, the basement… at “happily ever after”. it’s insane! if we can make a tiny (mental) shift; if we can see the glass as already broken; if we can agree to set the relationship bar low… we will set ourselves-up …for success.
