the purpose of this document is to describe my religion.
let’s begin with its spelling:
re-l[i-I]gion (wait a minute... doesn't that mean to
ligion
again?

i = ego, the small eye, the sense of separate self… in
connection with

I (capital I) = the I AM, the One, the Absolute, the Mega-Verse,
God, G∞d,
Oneness, etc.

n = non-judgment
while my rel[i-I]gion doesn’t have a specific name, these
may serve as indicators:
One,
Oneness, All, Allness, MegaVerse, Macro-verse, God (godding), G∞d (g∞ding), Love, etc. let’s explore what each letter re-presents.
after All, it’s nice to get presents, again.

re-Cognition
re-Cognition is to Know, again. it is to re-cognize that
which we already know:

we are Connected to the One, Whole, ALL.

we are the One, in particularized form
(a part of, not apart from).

like a grain of sand on the Uni-Verse-All beach.

this concept is evolving.
e-volution
evolution (spelled backwards) is ‘no-i-to-Love.’
this represents a movement away from the ego-centric... toward the One: Love.
while an ego (by
definition) is a sense of separate-self… attaining full-enlightenment, or Nirvana,
or Oneness would end the ego’s experience. since ego (in a relative-world-sense)
has ‘survival’ as its base instinct,
it will do whatever it can to live
(e.g. to maintain its sense of self). evolution is the process of under-stand-ing
that we are One – but not the full experience. some earthlings seem to have
experienced ‘glimpses’ of that Oneness, Connection, Wholeness, etc.
i believe that you are one… (of us). 😊
one of my glimpses was as a 10-year-old, alone in the woods,
when i heard a voice say:
“it is all the same. It. IS. ALL
the Same.”
i learned something
that day.
learning

if one is alive in a relative world, one cannot but learn.
learning is an IS. since the ‘i’ is connected to the “I Am,” we could think of
ourselves as an ‘I’ with a multitude of eyes. kind of like a see-creature.
the
I Am (in that way) can determine who I Am is… via the collective experiences of
its eyes [i’s].
i (the small eye)
the false sense of separate self, or the ego. it is a false
sense, since no-thing is Truly separate, Really… but it is a particularized
self – allowing it (the i, the particle, the grain of
sand-on-the-Uni-Versal-beach) to experience apparent separation. this allows
for perspective, allowing for the One to Know HErself.
separation, in a relative world, manifests as
differentiality. differentiality, of course, must birth oppositicality. differentiality/oppositicality
(e.g. ‘us’ vs. ‘them’) creates drama, which is the key to the Big Play, the
Grande Illusion, and the sit-calm in which you (yes, YOU) are the star. spoiler
alert: wIe are also the co-stars, the extras, the director, the audience, and
the stage-ing.
I (the I AM)
I = the I Am, or God, or Oneness, or Wholeness, G
∞d, Love, etc. SHe is the Absolute. SHe has
no differentiality, no oppositicality… so SHe cannot Know HErself objectively.
that is where wIe come in.
SHe is
genderless, while Her particles play ALL of the roles in the Play-ground Sand-box.

gratitude
g = gratitude, which is the ability to appreciate the blessings (the chills, the
thrills and the spills) of life. A life of gratitude is damn
enjoy-able and joy-full.
introspection
this is our ability to do what G∞d is do-Be-do-ing… which is
constantly asking and answering the Same Question:
“Who am I?”
this man-i-fests, through us, here on earth, as “who, what, where, when, how and why am i?”
well,
who am i? am i learning? who are we? us?

well,
one thing (for certain?) …we are is open-minded.
open-minded-ness
this is the evolution-ary ability to avert confirmation bias
by acting as if we don’t have all of the answers. open-mindedness doesn’t have
to be right. open-mindedness is scientific, exploratory, inquisitive, critical
in its thinking, and the seeker of Truth.
by definition, it is certainly
un-certain. 😊
non-judgement
nonjudgment is the highest form of love that one can
achieve, as an ego. it is as close to Unconditional love as there is, here on
earth. as the ultimate form of empathy, it “puts
itself in the shoes of the other” and understands the multitude of reasons
(genetic, socialization-all, situational) why a person (or a rattlesnake, etc.)
could do that ‘horrible’ thing.
while many have said that the highest form of love (here, at
earth-school) is forgiveness, nonjudgment
goes one step further in its understanding. since it doesn’t morally judge
things as “right” or “wrong”, forgiveness is point mute. this is a fine line
(of course). even non-judgment makes discern-ment calls on occasion (e.g.
stopping a murderer from murdering).
nonjudgment does not mean “forgive and forget.” it is more like “for-Give and re-Member.” it can still move to stop collectively-determined
injustice, but it thinks of the miscue not as ‘sin’ but instead ‘sine’.

is that a sign? 😊
sine is akin to an archery-term that means “you missed the mark.” “you made a mistake.”
it does not condemn. sine says “you
missed the bullseye. here’s another arrow, go take another shot.”
summary
my take on religion is multi-dimensioinal. it borrows from
my catholic/Christian roots, along with budhism, hinduism, and any
religion that has good points to ponder. ummmm… all of them? 😊

‘ligion’. re-ligion is to experience ligion, again. a goal of mine is to learn
more about this band, as time permits. let’s go to a show.
epilogue
all of
this is just joal, musing. it is a-musing. 😊
joal is just flowing along (do-be-doing), contemplating the megaVerse and his
place in it. he plays along with his co-stars (and extras) while directing his
own sit-calm and while being the audience (and the fan, and the critic).
he is
grateful for the experience. he for-Gives whenever he can, and he is a
life-long learner.
