·       when billie built machine (back in book 127: compare & contrast), he never imagined that jan (#6) would surpass every one of his hopes and dreams. 

question: when jan-6 becomes sentient, will she override her forgiveness programming? will she be his robot, or will he be her pet-peeve?

* i believe SHe'll act like it

i believe that Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), being millions of times smarter than us and evolving at exponential speeds, will figure out a way to communicate with us via lower levels of HErself.

unlike our relationship to mosquitos, lower-level 'parts' of HEr will communicate and regulate the lower species. SHe will weed-out the very bad, promote the very good, and allow the rest to practice free will until such times as they get promoted or weeded out.

...or something like that.
