* ncaa baseball predictions

 there are a lot of very good teams at the top, so it's anyone's ncaa baseball championship trophy.  it will be very, very hard to win the thing.

• fsu is in good shape to be one of the top 16 seeds, meaning:
• super-regional?  only if they make the top 8, or get some help in the regionals.
• their regional will be no cakewalk, as the committee may send florida.
• this would be a heartbreaker. 
• fsu will stack-up well in a super-regional.
• cws is anybody's guess:
1. fsu?
2. lsu
3. texas a&m? vandy?
4. texas
5. oregon? oregon state?
6. nc
7. arkansas
8. tennessee? geogia?
• my hope: fsu beats florida in regional, beats bama in supers, and beats texas, lsu, and (finally) tennessee to take the cws for the first time ever!
• one can dream.

update (5.28.2025): georgia tech won the a.c.c. championship, north carolina won the a.c.c. tournament, and fsu is seeded #9.  while they could win 'em all, they are just as likely to be "0-2 & barbecue"... the dreaded "2 & q."  more to follow.

update (6.2.2025): fsu swept its regional! ...while:

• texas lost, 
• vandy lost, 
• a&m lost, 
• oregon lost, and 
• georgia lost.

my hopes: fsu, miami, ucla, duke, nc, lsu, auburn, tennessee.  no matter how you slice it, the cws is going to be an open minefield.
