what does ‘a fan’ mean?

·       ‘a fan’ could mean that i like (maybe even favor?) some team, someone, or some entity.

·       ‘a fan’ could mean that i associate myself with the entity, subsequently ‘winning’ when they win and ‘losing’ when they lose.

(e.g. "i go as he go")

·       ‘a fan’ could be a person who has never played a play or who has never done anything remotely close to what his team or entity does.
 
the fan, however, can become slave to his own egoic alignment with that which he worships.
