a: no.
a2: yes, if men wrote the story. here's why:
if men wrote the story, there are certainly times when you'd want to kill-off EVERYone. for example, if your baby daughter fell onto a fire-ant hill in your back yard... you (like paul's pest control) would want to "get 'em all!"
warriors, of course, would not want any males alive (after a massacre).
if you've got a moth infestation (or cockroaches?) ...kill 'em all!
it makes sense.
