gone (the heat of summer)
gone (the heart seems torn)
gone (the chirp of hummingbird), yes,
fall has come (you’re gone)

· the most significant thing that fall brings is what it appears to re-move: hummingbird activity.
· the chirpers leave much too soon, imho.
· like everything else in life, however, we get to miss that which we love – once it is gone.
maybe the way to look at this type of yearning… is from a gratitude perspective:
“i am grateful to have
experienced what i now (momentarily) miss.”
