what (on earth) are morals? [i]

what (on earth) are morals?
boxer bites an ear
girlfriend cheats with best-friend’s groom
i don’t even care
banker rigs the lender-books
politicians?  true?
what on earth are morals?
no one has a clue

·       be-cause, of course, morals and ethics are subjective.  all “codes of ethics” are designed to get people to behave in a certain, agreed-upon way (iow: to control be-hav[e]-ior).
 
·       but (drum roll…) not everyone agrees, on things like:
   o   sex, nutrition, relationships, fidelity, politics, religion, abortion, sports gambling, or picking-up after your dog.  anyone who thinks that there is one set of morals… is simply regurgitating (and often spouting) his own. [ii]
 
there is no such thing… i repeat: no such thing… as Universal morality.  we are going to learn that (very soon), when machines deliver and impose their own sense of morality.
