(in ways)
we live as kings [1]
by i. m. lucky
it’s hard to wrap you’re head around the beauty that life brings
but, in this mellow-drama,
(in ways) we live as kings

what do most u.s.a.-ians experience now, even amid crisis, that kings and queens had no access to… even a few short (centuries) ago?
· a variety of music, at our fingertips, whenever we choose.
·
instant communication with humans from all over planet earth.
·
information (as opposed to superstitions).
·
being able to enjoy the experience of flying (moving without the feet
toughing the ground) in things called auto-mobiles.
·
…and on, and on, and on…
in many, many, many ways, we liveas better than
kings.

[2] inspired by a thing called a phone
conversation with dustin r., a good buddy who lives hundreds
of miles away!! while we shared
mutual anxieties about the crisis, we confirmed the importance of social
connection and living with passion and (maybe most of all), gratitude.
