just when you really needed us
we (senate) walked away
we needed some time off while your whole life (in disarray)
 
our families: free health care (‘cuz we wrote it into law)
it won’t be us who struggle (just the middle-class and poor)
 
we’ll talk (throw you a bone) we know you know we’re full of crap
or maybe we’ll just take (one more?)

·       you can see it in him: the old, dried-up, pompous-ass white guy who cares about you as much as he cares about the mosquito on his back 40.

·       but still, the f.n.w. faithful worship at his dried-up feet.
