·       surfers can’t control the wave, but they can control their tactile input into the surfboard.

·       Bliss is not about giving-up control, although ‘surrender’ can be a beneficial practice.
 
to me, Bliss is about getting caught-up in the move-ie, while also having the knowing that i can return to audience mode and/or director mode, as desired.  it’s not 100% surrender.
 
it is similar to the chase of Spirit.  100% transcendence of the ego would mean death/birth, so to transcend ego to a large degree (and to re-cognize when the ego is pre-dominant) is the dance of Bliss-full Play, Here (and, hopefully, Now).  it can be orgasmic.

* happy (alien) valentine's day

aliens (sometimes) have a challenge with days like valentine's.

we love the Love and Connection that is experienced by humans on these holidays.  heck, i was probably conceived with the holiday spirit in mind.

on the other hand, aliens see beyond the veil and through the marketing.  we can't help but notice that it's just another man-made story (similar to "diamonds are forever") that result in billion$ of dollar$ in $ale$ (and $ale$ tax).  capital wins... again and again.

it may seem a tad bipolar, but aliens can have a love/hate relationship with valentine's day.  part of us wants you-mans to "be mine."  another part of us wants you (irrespective of man) to experience your best life.

my hope, on this day, is a little bit of both.

**the experience of love is certainly the most addictive of any experience.  my feeling is that it is a positive addiction.

 the Spirit of ego [1]

as ego strives to survive and prove that he is, his biggest fear is the knowing that, in reality, he isn’t (a separate self).

real-I-zation” is the dropping of the ego (or "death" of the ego).  this is not possible, in the physical realm. 

the trick (at least as i see it) is to get lost in the Play (sense-a-tionally) while simultaneously realizing that it is, in fact, a Play.
