·       have humans eliminated species? have we hunted, for game? have we farmed other beings, for food? have we invented ways to mindlessly kill colonies of fire-ants?

·       do we bat-an-eye in regard to the plight of the pantry moth as we set-up traps in the kitchen? far from it.
 
given the opportunity, we actively trap/torture/kill the pest.*
