it seems i got offended, but (to take the blame off me)…
let’s call the roles reversed as i say: “you offended me!”

absolutely no responsibility for itself.
when one digs (even a tiny bit) deeper, however, it becomes
obvious that the offended is (really) saying much more about himself than he is
about the offender.
in most cases, ann landers had it right: “no one can take
advantage of you without your permission.”
