bible study

my fascination with biblical scholarship continues to reveal astounding realizations:

1. nobody knows who the original authors were.

2. nobody knows how many times the stories were changed, in word-of-mouth his-story.

3. nobody knows how the scribes (who are also anonymous) changed the stories.

4. anybody who has ever translated anything (especially poetry & song*) knows that the meanings (especially the artistic, double-entendre meanings) will change.  

    * hint: the bible is in "verses."

5. scholars can only speculate as to why certain gospels were included in various versions, while certain gospels were left out of other versions.**

** note: a "gospel" is a "teaching" or a "revelation" of Christ, and a "version" is an interpretation.  that doesn't mean that it is true.  quite the contrary.  think about the stories you hear about others (family members, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, politicians, celebrities, "holy" people...).

present conclusion: the evidence for a loving, biblical god (and a god-man Jesus) is errant, contradictory, dated, edited, translated, piecemeal, and miniscule. 

the evidence against is strong:

• he can't be seen.
• prayers aren't answered.
• he hasn't "come back soon" in over 2000 years.
• his creation (in his image?) is far from his (alleged) perfection. 

...and (#1) those who love him the most (e.g. josephine) are abandoned, and allowed to suffer horribly... just when they need him the most. 

deductions:

3. in regard to "chris's choice!" of wines (at total wine)... there might not even be a "chris"!

4. when one reads the gospel of paul (according to luke) in the king james version of the bible... neither paul nor luke nor james wrote down a word of it.  it's like someone telling a tall tale about your grandmother -- even though he never ever met your grandmother and he isn't even a member of your family!

5. when the billboard says "$1000 off your next breast augmentation" ...consider paying the extra $1000.

6. the translation of "top dollar for your home, guaranteed today!" is: "we will low-ball you on your home (today) if you are stupid enough to believe in us, today."

7. "he is coming soon!" ...uh... 2000 years later???  hmmm... it makes one One-der what "soon" means. 

8. if you read a bar sign that says "free beer tomorrow" ...and if you show up tomorrow (and the sign still says "free beer tomorrow") ...and if you show up the next day, expecting free beer???  well, i'm going to fire you as my advisor.

9. ambulance-chasing lawyers will gouge insurance companies for just-about as much as they can (as a windfall for you) -- which happens to be just-about as much as your legal bill.

disparity seeks pairity

Uni-Verse-All Oneness (for whatever reason) big-bang-divided into apparently separate parts... 

(and there was disparity).

nothing in this Uni-Verse happens without a disparity of pressure... seeking to release itself into a pairing, or a Oneness (a Yolk, a Yog, a Une).

that is why a volcano erupts.  
that is why waves wave.
that is why the wind blows.

disparity of pressure.

that is why we burp.

if we think of any action of any living thing, the action itself happens because of pressure.  disparity, seeking Une.  it's going to happen...

·   the republicans control the guns, the military, the police forces, the foxy news, the judges and the lawyers.  hence, the money.  hence, the u.s.a.

·    the democratic party is left-out.  they are simply there for show.  democrats are just pussies who have gotten comfortable being pushed around by the bully-right.

christianity, in a nutshell

"we" have an all-knowing, all-seeing, all-loving god.  he sent his only son, the lord jesus christ, to die... for y/our sins.  check that.  he died for believer's sins.

• we... have the "right" god.  you (who might question) can shut the f--- up.
• our god can see you (when you're sleeping), but you can't see him.  of course, some have seen him... but not lately.
• "he" is male, and his son was/is male, also.  don't question this.
• of course, god could have had more-than-one son, but he is god -- so it is right-eous that he only had one son.  
• of course, we all are his children.
• of course, he murdered (by drowning) all of his children (in the great flood).
• except, of course, for noah's family.
• of course, some of those children were innocent women, babies and unborn babies, but shut up.  they were collateral damage.  god (being god) has the right to murder the innocent.
• you ask: "by the way, did the kittens and puppies (and bambi) deserve to be drowned?  what did they do... to incur that wrath?"
• the math is simple.  god (when mad at man), right-eously murders babies and kittens.  how does this not make sense to you, questioner?
• of course we have the "right" god, and everyone else has the wrong god. they (of course) can all go to hell.
• we Love them (of course), but screw them!  they do not believe what we believe.  let 'em burn!
• our loving lord jesus christ will take us up into heaven with him -- because we believe in him (sort of).  
• do we actually practice our religion?  no.
• do we actually obey the sabbath?  no.  well, chick fil-A isn't open on sundays!
• do we actually read our own holy book?  no... but some of us do, and they can summarize it for us, quite well.  you (who might question) need to shut the f---- up!
• he is coming back, and soon!  to him, 2000+ years = "soon."

in summary: we have the right religion, and you'd better believe it!  if you don't, our loving god will allow you to allow yourself (because you have free will) to burn in an agonizing hell, forever.  

he has already killed his children and has set-up his (only) son's crucifixion, so (of course) he won't blink an eye -- if you choose to die -- as a non-believer.

* inter-independance

those who have completed the third grade (and who are not watching fox news) understand the term "independence".  it refers to people being able to survive/thrive, without depending upon others.   

 wayne dyer & steven covey used-to speak of inter-dependence, which alluded to the fact that we, as living beings on planet earth, are independent -- yet cooperative/dependent upon each other.

martino, however, coined the term "inter-independence".

inter-independence recognizes the interdependence of all living things.  additionally, inter-independence subscribes to the idea that we have the ability to be helping each other become more independent of us.

this flies in the face of conventional u.s.a. relationship theory, which seems to throw-back to the idea that we "should" need each other and "complete" each other... in order to be "whole".

inter-independence is a Higher Vibration.

inter-independence (Love) aspires to assist others into becoming more and more of their own selves... it values autonomy, choice, self-regulation and self-realization.

in simple terms: you want someone who you Love to experience his/her best experience, even if it is inter-independent of your-self.

if there is a man that is one-of-a-kind, it's anthony squillacci jr.

• anthony squillacci sr. is over 90, and a complete stud of a man.
• jr. is sometimes referred to as "ant".
• when i was a kid, they were building televisions in the basement (for kicks) when ant was 5.
• he began working at his dad's shop at age 13, and finished high school classes early enough to get to the shop... to work on weekdays.
• he earned enough money to buy a convertible, and a boat.
• ant has never, ever been afraid of work, learning, and creativity.
• he has a non-stop smile, a great accent, and the most positive attitude of anyone i've ever met (right up there with pete lawrence). 
• when he met karen, they decided to build a life together.  they mesh.
• they now have serval acres, an off-grid home, chickens, bees and an organic garden.
• their home has heart... and it (literally) has a heart -- one that pumps water throughout the flooring (even out to the concrete patio) to keep the toes warm in wintertime.
• they are currently on a road trip in their new r.v., and i'll be linking-up with them (today!) in the mountains of n.c.

life is definitely fantastical!

busy little bee II

it's 4/27/22.  my tasks:

wednesday:

1. review/teach mindful/mindless eating (to the nursing students).
2. conduct PED 117 (grade post-assessments).
3. grade group exercise instructors in HFS 120.
4. account for faculty/student guests, award extra credit as necessary.
5. conduct personal training lab (HFS 210) 
6. produce the agenda for the riverfront t.o.a.b., run the meeting.
7. somehow, within all of this, coordinate Sunday's tailgate planning (food, donations).
8. get the non-profit number (from s.g.a.) and produce the letter asking for food donations/vouchers (teeter, ingles, food lion).

thursday:

1. tailgate planning and message to faculty staff.
2. PED 122 Yoga (8-word yoga)
3. participate in a hiring meeting for a future nurse instructor. dude, you need to prepare. 
4. cry.
5. can i get w.s.g.e. to broadcast/support the effort?

friday:

1. continue planning the tailgate.
2. meet anthony & karen in the mountains.
3. act as the shuttle craft, if they'd like to explore stuff in the boone area.

saturday:

1. continue hanging-out with anthony & karen (continue shuttling).
2. crash on the floor of the rv (again).

sunday:

1. get up early and leave.
2. set up the tailgate (music? table? flag? food? etc.?).
3. coordinate the sign-ups for extra credit (students attending the game).
4. cry. probably out loud.
5. open-up the PED 110 exam early.

obviously, something has to give. i'll be on stage for the nursing class, and possibly the biggest of stages for the tailgate. those must take priority.  i might have to scratch the saturday plans with anthony & karen.  i do need to link with them on friday, however.  he's my favorite cousin, and he is a friend. family doesn't get this close to n.c.
