admittedly, the only reason why anyone could have concerns about losing "freedom" is if he/she already has it in the first place.  this is a reason (for me) to be grateful for every past/present/future experience.

many living things have lived (on planet earth) with little to no [relative] freedoms.  “we” are just concerned that (under ASI) we might be losing some of ours.

as people enter the late stages of the dying process

they lose freedoms (e.g. to breathe).

 

we are all going to lose our freedoms.

 

ASI might actually lose its freedom to die.
