just an observation...

the be-ing referred to as 'joal' is deeply, extremely affected by certain music.

paradoxically...

some of the most easily offended can be the most offensive.  some of the most detached can be the most loving.  the insensitive among us are probably one step away from being broken by the littlest comment.

anything but mine

another morning, another gem by kenny chesney

he captures the feeling of young, summer love in panama city beach, florida -- where, back in my heyday, "the miracle mile" was just a slice of "the redneck riviera."

there is something about the anticipation.  the social phenomenon of the beach frenzy: groups of partiers, catamarans, waverunners, beer-bongs, bikinis, laughter... and mutually exchanged glances.

the connection (and the heat).  young (soon-to-be) lovers.  the beat of the beachside clubs.  holding hands,  walking the beach, and sharing a sunset/rise.

...and (of course), the time when it's time to (sadly) leave p.c.b.

oh, and that last kiss might never end.

·     IMHO, it would be far better to experience a finite Play… than to be trapped in an everlasting heaven.

capitalism(ism) offense

capital(ism) offense [1]
by oscar f. fended

·       with capitalism, when political law-makers have given ‘corporations’ the same rights as people…
·       corporations do what corporations are supposed to do: make profits.
·       political lawyers are (uh) ‘rewarded’ for their votes by lobbyists who actually decide the votes (you guessed it) prior to the vote.
·       dems & pubs are on the same team, kiddies!
·       lawyers (e.g. divorce lawyers) simply bill-out at as much as the market will bear. they just don’t care. the more a (former) couple argues, the more the lawyers make!  this isn't rocket science or difficult math: they don’t care about ending the conflict, at all.  at all.  at all!
·       health care providers bill-out for as much as the insurance companies will pay.
·       insurance companies do their best not to pay.

and so it goes, around and around.  it’s a capital(ism) offense, and every system is just doing the best that it can to make more capital.

here’s my solution: make less money.  barter.  hide. use cash, when possible.  be untraceable, whenever you can.  stage insurgencies (not to keep assholes in power, but to purge the sh—out of washington -- and out of our divorce courts).

i’ve never even been married (and i still hate divorce lawyers).

this is why we do it:

from Jaden S. Love (a former student) to Joal:

Sat 4/2/2022 1:48 PM
Hey this is Jaden Love I was in your weight lifting class for last falls semester. I was training to be in the airforce and told you all about it. I graduated around 2 weeks ago and i reached the goals that I was striving for. Sadly BMT hasn’t been doing PT awards since Covid started. But in the end I finished my last test with 83 push-ups in a minute, 82 sit-ups in a minute, and a 1 1/2 mile run in 9 minutes and 20 seconds. I was very happy to hit that goal and I’m going to keep striving for more. Also, I can’t thank you enough for all the help and tips when it came to my training. It helped a lot to have someone there that not only motivated me but pointed me in the right direction to reach my goals. I was the best in my flight, and with everything you helped me with and my own knowledge I was able to help a lot of the people in my flight with reaching their goals as well. I wound up doing a lot of training with other people to get their PT scores up so we could all graduate together. Even had to pace someone for their run when they failed it the first time. It was a lot of fun but I’d also never want to go back. But I enjoyed the experience and now I’m in my tech school for munition systems. A lot more freedom here for sure. But all in all, I just wanted to reach out and let you know how I turned out and how much I appreciate all the help you gave me. I hope you keep the same energy for everyone else that will come to you in the future. Even if it was something small, it affects all of us in a big way.
Sincerely,
Jaden Love

he's coming... and soon!

"he is coming soon" is a mantra, for jesus followers who have been told that "soon" just might mean 2000 years (or so).  let's face it: it's not your momma's "soon."

they sing and they pray and they know (they say) that "he" is coming soon.

___________________________________________

  • could it be a premature evacuation?
  • could it be a spurty-spurt, at noon?
  • could it be (that "he" [yes, he]) is coming, and could it be that he is coming soon?
or could it simply be something nice to sing, or fun to fathom, or a faith to hold-onto, while the world crumbles around us?!?  come on, god-duh-s, just fix it!!!

but they don't, and here are the only possible reasons why:

1. they won't (meaning, they don't care to), or...
2. they can't (meaning that they aren't "all powerful"), or
3. they can't and won't... because they don't exist... and you've been fed a diet of bullsh--.  kind of like what you were told about santa claus and the easter bunny and the tooth fairy

knowing you, II

in knowing you, kenny chesney hits on a somber truth: rarely do we know how much we love someone until they have left us too soon
