b107 (2.16-6.2022): why do i rebel?

why do i rebel? [1]
by a. rebel & wit h. o. utacause

why do i rebel?
when logic serves me well
i know what’s good (for me) i should, but
why do i rebel?
__________________________________

·       why… with all of the knowledge, experience, self-reflection, and psychological double-cross-introspection…

why do i rebel?

·       why do i do the exact thing that i’m trying (knowingly) not to do?

·       why does it seem impossible to do what i know is good for me, instead of that which fulfills my immediate gratification?

·       why do i rebel, and why do i rebel against myself?

selfish expectations [1]
by x. p. ectations
alternative title: beginning of the end
selfish expectations
of family and friends
hot and cold relations
beginning of the end
_________________________________________

·        self-less expectations are when we expect/hope/support others in bettering themselves and their life experience.

·        self-ish expectations come in two varieties:
o   expecting something from yourself, for yourself (which is both natural and good), and
o   expecting something for yourself, from someone else (which is often the beginning of the end of a healthy relationship).

b106 (1/11/2022): the king must fall

the king must fall [1]
by a. dog

when i was the king
by God (i had it all)
but here’s the truthful thing:
someday, the king must fall
________________________________

·       it’s important to re-cognize: being the #1 guy, or the #1 country, or the #1 program puts a target on your back.
·       certainly, it’s great to be on top… but (eventually) the king must fall.

my advice, to the ‘youngins’ of today, would be to bask in the #2 slot.  in racing, it’s best to be drafting the #1 – allowing the leader to deal with all of the strap-hangers.

be poised and ready to take the #1 slot, but only take it if you understand that you’ve just created a very powerful #2 (who wants to take that slot from you).
