in the seven habits of highly effective people, steven covey describes the self-management matrix and notes (convincingly) that 'quadrant II' (the wellness quadrant) needs to be where we invest, Now.
absent planning & investment, "important but not urgent" will become "urgent."
this isn't a belief ...so much as an Is.
maybe wIe can enjoy the process of pursuing what we want, experiencing ourselves getting better at getting it.
* the self-management model (shown above) was modified to further describe covey's idea. the thing that makes it harder to invest in quadrant II is simple: it's not urgent. if we can urgent-i-fy wellness activities, life flows like a good dream.
