b106 (1/11/2022): the king must fall

the king must fall [1]
by a. dog

when i was the king
by God (i had it all)
but here’s the truthful thing:
someday, the king must fall
________________________________

·       it’s important to re-cognize: being the #1 guy, or the #1 country, or the #1 program puts a target on your back.
·       certainly, it’s great to be on top… but (eventually) the king must fall.

my advice, to the ‘youngins’ of today, would be to bask in the #2 slot.  in racing, it’s best to be drafting the #1 – allowing the leader to deal with all of the strap-hangers.

be poised and ready to take the #1 slot, but only take it if you understand that you’ve just created a very powerful #2 (who wants to take that slot from you).

b103 (9.7-1.2021): mine is better than yours

mine is/are better than yours [1]
by m. ine’

house and stream and car  (a dream!) i hope i can get more
switchblade-knife (a ring!) a wife, oh, mine is better than yours
legs (and skits) and kegs and tits (and yes, my team just scored!)
teeth (and trees) and third-degrees, oh, mine are better than yours
______________________________

·       be-Cause living things, in a relative world, must identify – thus comparing self to others.  ego/separation loves it both ways:
o   i’m better than you, or
 o   i’m worse than you…
§  …All… while separation/individuality cannot survive as Oneness.
§  when wIe are One, there is no such thing as “better” or “different.”

·       …which sounds good, at first, but then there would be no differentiation/variety.

·       Godliness/Oneness/Wholeness/Completion/Absolute/etc. cannot even Know herself… without (apparent) separation.

in a relative world (like ours) ego tends to win – while seeking to re-Une… again, and again, and again.

b102 (8.13-1.2021): soon

soon [1]
by ima c. o. ming & s. oon

alternative title: “i’m on my way.”
i’m on my way (get ready)
i’ll be around (high) noon
i’ve got the clock set (steady)
i’m gonna be there (soon)
___________________________
  • what does “soon” (really) mean?
    • 5 minutes?
    • 5 hours?
    • 5 days?
if it was something serious (like if i borrowed $1000 from you), and if i promised to pay you back “soon” …you’d (probably) prefer 5 days to... uh... 500 years.

imagine if i didn’t come back (& pay) for over 2000 years, and if i’m still not back yet!?!

your friends/family (and others with vivid imaginations) might be able to see me in a tree-stump, or a slice of toast, or a cloud, or a dream… but… ahhhhhh, uhhhhhhhhh… you know.

the advantages of living in an apocalypse:
·       we aren’t going to be missing-out on anything.
·       we don’t have to worry about growing old.
·       we don’t have to worry about finances (retirement, health care, etc.).
·       we don’t have to worry about a lot of things:
 o   politicians, lobbyists, etc.
 o   the future.
 o   arguments at family reunions.
 o   broken relationships.
§  …and on and on…
·       we get to see how we’ll react, in true crisis.
·       we get to say “i told you so” and be right.
·       dying – will be much preferred (to survival).

…and (drum roll)… we’ll finally have our come-to-jesus meeting.  heck, if he’s not going to come back & see us, we might as well go visit him.
