·        as countless couples sift through the quagmire of personal feelings and expectations and agendas -- combined with societal ‘mores’ that were determined by men who benefit from the quagmire…

·        naked (best) friends” invites a few simple-ly radical viewpoints:
o   friends don’t promise.
o   friends want what is best for their friends.
o   sometimes, friends allow friends to find their own way.  this can be difficult.
o   best friends don’t need a contract or a ceremony or symbols.
o   commitment” isn’t a “should,” but rather an Is that is earned every, single moment by Be-ing that best friend.  striving for it would be to suffocate the allowing of it.
o   “best friends” is a two-way street: one cannot be a best friend unless s/he is (first and foremost) he/r own best friend.
o   it’s logical: put the oxygen mask on yourself first, so that you can help others don theirs.
o   the notion of inter-independence (assisting our beloved to become independent of [and with] us) seems odd, when viewed from the quagmire.

inter-independence could, however, be the highest form of human Love.  by definition, then, it would be impossible for the human ego to purely grasp or achieve.   maybe it is better viewed as an Ultimate Target, so that the process of relationship-archery can be In-Joy-able.

of course, all of this conjecture could be wrong, so the concepts of naked (best) friends and inter-independence need to be re-viewed, dis-cussed, and modi-fied -- as an ongoing (glorious) process of Uni-f[i]ed dis-cover-y.

we sail the storied seas (as partners), never thinking “if”
we sail through storms (and sunrise)
we sail: partner-ships
