cohabitation trainwreck
the future (plain to see)
although i’ve seen it all
before ((“that won’t happen to me.”))
as friends and parents
sing the song (“you two should share your paychecks!”)
we might as well yell “all
aboard!”
cohabitation trainwreck
__________________________· even though (virtually) everyone knows
that the odds of cohabitating successfully are far, far less than the extremely meager
odds of a successful marriage... they encourage you to joint the club!
· maybe misery loves company.
· the people that (you think) love you most -- will
actually encourage you to cohabitate (and marry) at the same time!
· does everyone just want to watch the crash??!!!???
all my life, i’ve been into inter-independence. this is not interdependence.
inter-independence is a mutual desire to assist our
partner to be completely independent of us. yes, they can still love us and connect
with us, but they are not a slave to our desires and whims.
they are independent.
they earn their own money.
they live in their own home.
they control their own lives.
now…
…that…
…is sexy!
